Call for papers
Journal of Aviation Science and Technology
The Journal of Aviation Science and Technology (JAST) is an open-access, peer-reviewed international academic journal published by the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA). On 28 April 2026, pursuant to Decision No. 2244 issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology, JAST was officially recognized and included in the 2026 list of journals meeting Vietnam's national scientific standards. JAST provides a premium publication outlet for scholars, industry stakeholders, government policy makers and researchers. JAST is a platform that aims to advance important aviation, aeronautics, aerospace and technological developments. The Journal publishes articles in all facets of the aviation sector including those related to business, strategy, education, policy, regulation, law, safety, science, technology, intermodal transport, logistics, air cargo, air traffic control, airline management, airport operations and travel technology (tourism).
JAST accepts the following two types of papers only:
- a) Article:These are original research manuscripts. The article should include the most recent and relevant references in the field and present new research results from original research guaranteeing scientific rigor, or alternatively a case study which involves an in-depth, and detailed examination of a particular topic; a review providing critical and constructive analysis of existing published literature or be of a conceptual nature providing a critical analysis or a novel perspective of theories, models and key concepts that support practice.
- b) Brief Communication: These are short, observational studies that report preliminary results or a short complete study or protocol. A Brief Communication usually contains two figures and/or a table; however, the Materials and Methods sections should be detailed to ensure reproducibility of the presented work.
JAST employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.
JAST invites papers for Vol. 5 No. 2 which is scheduled to be published on December 31st, 2026. Earlier submissions are appreciated and will be afforded preference in terms of review and publication (Full Text PDF).
The journal is published in English both in print and online. JAST anticipates the assignment of a DOI number for publication in 2027.
